_We don't support the manipulation of judgment_

_We resolve on appeal_

All the 9 ward chairmen of ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) within Owode Onire state constituency have declared that the candidature of sensational journalist turn-politician, Rukayat Shittu is sacrosanct and irreversible.

The chairmen also stated that any backdoor attempt to hijack the collective resolution of the people will be an effort in futility.
While reacting to a high court judgment that faulted the choice of Rukayat as the candidate of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), the chairman of the chairmen, Mahmud Issa said that the high court is an inferior court and its decision doesn't reflect what transpired at the primaries, neither does it reflect the wishes of the people.

According to the Okewuru/Yowere II Chairman, Mallam Moshood who also spoke at the meeting said, “We are not unaware of the machinations of those who think they can manipulate the legal system to steal a victory against the people, but we know that their efforts will amount to waste and it shall be an exercise in futility.

"For us in Owode Onire, the mandate given to Rukayat Shittu is sacrosanct and irreversible and we declare our total support for her. He said.
“Rukayat candidature has been attracting goodwill from State, National, and International networks to Owode Onire Constituency, indicating that a good time is coming for Asa and that quality representation and a brighter future await the youths at large and we affirm our total and unflinching support for her candidature as earlier chosen by our people,” The Chairmen said.
