OGBOMOSO CENTRAL MOSQUE: THINGS FALL APART

Strong indications have emerged as the battle for the post of substantial Chief Imam of Ogbomoso Central Mosque continued to be generating heat and at the same time  biting harder. This is not unconnected with the querying of Mallam Yunus Teliha Olushina Family's origin by the family of Imam Ayilara whose forefather was number four Chief Imam of the ancient mosque.

The family also asked Teliha Olusina to clear the air on the involvement of Olusinas, including elders and former Chuef Imams from other families, in the worshiping of shrine and other anti Islamic practices, during their reign as Imam.

The Imam Ayilara Family  however warned Olushina not to drag Christian brothers and sisters into the matter adding that, both Muslims and Christians are one family Inseperable.

The statement released and made available to TROVE ONLINE MEDIA by the Ayilara Family stated that some Muslim societies/clerics have been polarised not because of their seeking for the truth and enthroning the Sunnah but for the selfish and worldly affairs. It  further noted that  power and money are the driving factors.

The Family, therefore, cautioned the Muslims to protect and safeguard the religion of Islam from being hijacked by the moneybags parading themselves as Muslim leaders and that "...if foundation for justice is not laid and the custodian of Islamic affairs is not vested on pious Islamic Scholars, Alfas and Imams, we might suffer deficiency in our religion practices and ibaadah".

The Family, however, appealed to the people to be peaceful, abstain from blackmailing and remain focused.
