RAINSTORMS DESTROY PROPERTIES WORTH MILLIONS OF NAIRA IN ILORIN

The Thursday heavy downfall destroyed properties worth millions Naira in Ilorin, the Kwara State Capital.
The storms destroyed shops and other valuable items worth millions of naira at a commercial bank junction along new yidi, Unity- Taiwo Isale axis in Ilorin South local government area of Kwara State.

The downpour which started around 4:00 p.m. and lasted for hours also bring down a multimillion naira widespread banner situated at Taiwo Junction, which later led to traffic gridlock along the road.
Our correspondent who visited the scene of the incident confirmed that the incident is devastating.

He said no life was lost in the incident but shops situated around the area particularly those immediately after the turning were incredibly affected by the downpour.

 He also reported that commuters and other road users were stranded noting that the road is rough and can't be accessed easily
