SUPER EAGLES COACH DEBUNKS NDIDI'S INJURE

Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro has quashed speculations that Wilfred Ndidi is injured and may miss Friday’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations game against Guinea-Bissau.

The Leicester City midfielder was not part of the Eagles’ first training session on Monday evening at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja as only 13 players of the 14 in camp were put through their paces under Peseiro on Monday.

Turkey-based Bright Osayi-Samuel and captain Ahmed must joined up with the squad after training to bring the number of players in camp on Monday to 16.

Ndidi is one of the four midfielders selected by Peseiro for the game against the Djurtus, with Brentford’s Frank Onyeka, the largely inactive Joe Aribo (Southampton) and Everton’s Alex Iwobi the others.
